The leaves are falling, rain is pouring, snow is coming, and the weather is getting so much colder, which means it’s time to bring out all my comfy oversized jackets and sweaters! Yay! The most wonderful time of the year is right around the corner and I am so ready for the holiday season to come. Although I am a little sad that my hiking days might be coming to a close since I have no idea what to expect when hiking in the snow. I figure I will need some sort of covering for my camera to protect it from the freezing weather along with the wet environment. Ah, well.
To me, one of my favorite things to do when it begins to rain constantly is sit inside with the windows open then cover myself in bundles of blankets with a cup of tea (Green Tea in fact! Love the taste!) and watch the storm roll in while watching YouTube or some good movie. Not only that my mental health tends to get so much better around this time since (as mentioned before) the holidays are coming! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc. The holidays brings my family together which is something I cherish so dearly.
I think in a previous blog I mentioned that I have “Seasonal Affective Disorder” (SAD) meaning your mood is mostly affected by the time of the year. For some people they become a bit more depressed during the winter season since it gets darker, colder, etc. However, in my case it is always during the summer I don’t know why it always happens during that time, but ever since I was younger I’ve always hated summer for that reason.
Anywho! My dad and I went driving around Deer Valley and the mountains to show me some of the lodges like Montage and Silver Lake then we made a stop at a hill where we saw the view of Park City along with a little bit of Heber.
You would not believe how breathtaking the view was! I never knew that I would call a place so beautiful my home. Utah won my heart the first time I landed here six-or eight months ago. I am so glad I am able to be able document the good days I have had even sharing this to all of you.
Even though it was raining my dad and I had a great time exploring. It kind of sucks that work might get a little more busy this month but I am hoping for it to go smoothly. I’m thankful the people I work with make it more fun they’re such funny guys and my boss is pretty great as well. Enough of me how are you?
I’d like to know what are your plans for this “spooky” month! Are you trick-or-treating with your younglings? Or planning to relax with some good friends and a movie? Whatever your plans are for this month I hope for good health and positive things to come your way!
Now I am going to sit back and listen to some soft songs as I continue to write my novel while singing along to “This is Halloween” for the next couple weeks.
Stay safe out there!
