Death Of A Dream

There will be a time in your life where it is okay to give up on your dream. Back when we were children we have been told to “follow your dreams” and “never give up!” But what if you know the career, job, profession, or the one thing you really want…but don’t know how to get it/ there?

Personally, I wanted to become an Astronomer. Though the more I realized how complex it really is I was starting to lose hope that I will ever achieve that dream. That is when the spark for photography hit me I never knew how much I began to love the arts once again. The thing is how is this going to help me after college? How am I suppose to make this a living if there are hundreds of photographers out there who can do the same as I can? Or can do so much better?

If that passion that you’re fighting for is right there staring at you and keeping you up at night GO FOR IT! Do everything in your power to achieve it even if you end up falling a couple of times. There will be obstacles in your way to break you, but all you’ve got to do is learn to jump. Seek for guidance if necessary.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help because you never know who might steer you in the direction you’ve been looking for. Just know that if it gets so difficult to the point where there is no other path to take it is always okay to let go. As long as you gave it your all put in your blood, sweat, and tears into it you will not be considered a failure because only a failure would have just given up when they didn’t even try.

You’ve come this far.

Give it every ounce of what you’re made of.

“The one who falls and gets back up is so much stronger than the one who never fell.”
